Great Things to Hear in Cerritos in February

This February, there are a host of excellent events in or near Cerritos. Here at Fidelity Hearing Center, we’ve collected highlights of great things to hear in Cerritos this month.


The Producers, Cerritos Performance Center, February 12-13

The Producers is a musical based on comedian Mel Brooks’s Academy Award-winning film of the same name. The story follows a theatre producer and his account as they put together a scam revolving around a Broadway flop. With Tony Awards for “Best Musical” and “Best Score,” The Producers is a hilarious look into the inner workings of theatre. Get your tickets at

Musical Performances at Cerritos Center for Performing Arts

On February 20, The Band of the Scots Guards joins the Pipes, Drums, and Highland Dancers of the Black Watch 3rd Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland in performance. What a mouthful! Essentially, this family friend show features bagpipes, traditional folk music, and military tunes.

A week later on February 27, Lee Rocker of the Rockabilly group Stray Cats performs with Little River Band of Australia. Lee Rocker is a bassist and one of the founders of the Stray Cats, a Grammy-winning band with hits such as “Stray Cat Strut” and “Rock This Town.” Little River Band is celebrating their 40th anniversary and is known for their tunes “Reminiscing,” “Lady,” and “Take It Easy.”

Events at the Cerritos Millennium Library

The Cerritos Library is an award-winning, five-star rated America’s Libraries Star, with stunning architectural design, meant to be a “library of the future.” At the Cerritos Library this month, there is the Book Club for Adults which meets on Wednesday, February 17 from 10am to 12pm.  Book club participants are invited to bring a book of their choice about any past US President – whether biography or autobiography.

On February 20, from 2-4pm, best-selling author Lisa See discusses her book On Gold Mountain: The One-Hundred Year Odyssey of My Chinese-American Family. This event is presented in conjunction with the Smithsonian exhibition “I Want the Wide American Earth: An Asian Pacific American Story.” Copies of the book will be available for purchase.

Over the weekend of February 26 to February 28, the annual Orchid Show takes place at the Cerritos Library. Skyline Room. Members of the Cerritos community who are interested in displaying their orchids or photographs or paintings of orchids are encouraged to register before February 19. On all three days of the Orchid Show, there will be live music performances, from ukulele music to hula.
